My name is Kendra, and I love to read excessively and yap about every book I read. I guess that is kind of the same thing. I have always been a reader. At a young age, my favorite thing about movies and books was to escape reality, explore other worlds in my head, and pretend they were real. I always pretended that I was a character in these books and found characters so relatable to things that I felt but never knew how to articulate. It may have started with series like Magic Treehouse, The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, and Harry Potter. But they were all just a stepping stone into the books I read now. My reading journey as an adult started in 2020, like many others, I lost my job, and there was nothing left to do in quarantine but binge-watch TV or movies.
